This video is quite spectacular as it shows these guys surfing the rapids of the Zambezi River in Africa. The wave is almost two to three foot and is even a bit hollow. It just breaks continuously for ever and ever. Elijah Mack who is a goofy footer and a natural footer called David Weare are hitting the lip and cutting back and even getting inside the river barrel. Gavin Sutherland also gets into it with some sick air. I do not know what happens if you fall off, maybe you get sucked all the way to Egypt. There are a few stupid dissolves and effects in the video but just ignore that.
These guys are reputed to be surfing on rapid number eleven on the Zambezi River. The Zambezi River Rapids that the guys are surfing is in the country of Zambia. This video was taken in July 2005 and it seems that it only works for a few weeks per year. To get there you go to the small tourist town called Livingstone, Zambia which is close to the awesome Victoria Falls. At rapid number eleven on the Zambezi River the river is about a hundred meters wide, then the river water drops down about four feet onto a shelf on the bottom of the river. The flow of the water then is pushed against a couple of rocks that make the water come back on itself , thus forming a perfect river barrel.
