Surfing South Morocco

There is so much surf in Morocco it is unbelievable. Especially during the winter when the southern points go off. Starting from the very south we have Tarfaya, which is just above the Western Sahara and just about as desert as you can get. Then there is Tan-Tan plage, a beach break, as well as Ifni and Sidi Rabat. Once you get to Adadir which is a beach break , you are getting into the southern points.

From Agadir north you get Anza, a beach break, then the points around Taghazout such as Killer Point, Mystery Point, Banana village and Hash Point. There is a thriving surf scene in this area and when the winter swells are pumping you can jump off any of these points and get insane right hand point waves. Just north around the peninsula is Tamri, another beach. Immessouane is a right hand sandbar wave. Tafadna is a beach break that can get good waves on a sandy bottom.

Going North you get to Tafadna which has rights and lefts waves on a beach break> Sidi Kaouki is a beach break, while Cap Sim right in the middle of the desert is a reef break with amazing right handers breaking along the bay. The last spot in South Morocco is Essaouira a beach break just north of Cap Sim.
