To get around the Solomon Islands you can take a boat from the Point Cruz Yacht Club in Honiara to adjoining islands such as Mangalonga Island. Temotu Shipping and Wings Shipping sail to Gizo. To get to Malaita, the Sa Alia sails every second day. North west of Honiara is the Nggela Islands(Florida Islands) where you should have a look at Mangalonga Island. The Maravagi Resort is specially designed for surfing holidays and there are tons of breaks in the bays around Mana Island. Gizo has waves as well in the Western Province. Dive Gizo offer surf trips. In Gizo harbour you can stay at the Harbourview Guesthouse, Phoebe's Resthouse, or the Tresco Motel. Prices range from fifty to one hundred Solomon Islands dollars. Pailongge, which is about six kilometers from Gizo, has some good surf breaks. And also try Titiana on the south coast of Gizo. Around Munda you can stay at the Zipolo Habu Resort for about A$50 per night. The Zipolo Habu Resort is one of your standard surf resorts. Other islands that you can look for surf in the Solomon Islands are Malaita, Santa Isabel, and Makira.

The best season for the Solomon Islands surf is from November until April. To get there you can fly to Honiara from Brisbane with Solomon Airlines. Cheap places to stay in Honiara range from 60-150 Solomon Dollars. (One Australian dollar is approximately 5.78 Solomon Islands Dollars and one US dollar is about S$7.60). Try The United Church Resthouse, Bulaia Backpackers Lodge or Island Lodge. Most surf breaks in the Solomon Islands are reef breaks and you will need a boat to get to them. Boats can be hired for approximately twenty dollars an hour. If you stay at Gizo or Munda then you should be able to hire a boat pretty easily.
