sebastian inlet Northern Florida

Sebastian Inlet is in North Florida on the East Coast of the USA. It has a powerful right-hander wave breaking off the jetty and breaks on a sandy bottom. The fast and ledgy waves break best on a north-east to south-east wind. It is located in the Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area and you get to it via Highway A1A. It borders the Brevard and Indian River counties.

A lot of good surfers have come out of this area so it must have something going for it. You have your Hobgood, your Slaters and your Lopezes. Sebastian Inlet can get some perfect days that bring a smile to your face.

Spanish House is two miles north of Sebastian inlet and works on a sandbar with rights and lefts. It is a hollow fun wave that breaks on a sandy bottom. The best wind is a westerly and the swell works best from the north-west. Further north is Boardwalk at the end of US 192. It does get crowded and is a beach break with rights and lefts. The waves can get to be fun if you handle the mean shore break and the aggro grommets. Just move to another peak and count to ten. Right in front of Icabods is supposed to be good. Spessard North Point usually works on the high tide and has a bar a bit further out that attracts the longboarders.
