The surfing season in the Caroline Islands are from October to April and the waves are powerful on a shifting reef pass. You will get barrelled in some sick tubes for sure. The cost is About $3000 for a 10 days stay which includes the airfare from Los Angeles. The wave is a great right hand version of the break at Tavarua. So all the natural footers will have a ball out there in these magic right handers. The Caroline Islands are situated in the Western Pacific.

Take mid-range boards with you from six foot three to about six foot ten inches. The surf camp is run by Brazilian surfer Allois Malfitani and Chris Groark from the USA. Some say that the Caroline Islands has one of the finest right hand reef passes in the world. The main break called P-Pass has long intense walls that will stretch you to your full potential and you can try out all the manouveurs in your repertoire.

Nearly all the best waves are a couple of miles offshore on the island reef passes. So the thing is you need a boat to get out to the reef passes. The North Pacific Winter Storms generate the swells for the surf breaks at the Caroline Islands. P-Pass is a very fast, hollow tube, that is located 25 minutes away from the Caroline Islands resort by boat. It is best to surf the reef at high and medium tides as the bottom can get a bit close during low tide. Just in front of the hotel about 10 minutes out is the main pass. Main pass is usually bigger and holds a bigger swell and wraps right around the reef but only surf it on high tide.

If you want a left hander for the goofy footers then there is a break called Freddos that is only ten minutes from the camp. This wave to surfable from about two to ten foot and off course mainly sufable on higher tides.
