If you want to go skiing in Utah there are vast skiing areas that link many mountain peaks that run north-south along the Wasatch Mountain Range. The Sundial Lodge is in the village and has serviced apartments and if you are lucky you will get a fireplace for that skiing romance.

There are a number of cheaper ski resorts in Utah that have only a few lifts but are very affordable. Beaver Mountain Ski Area is a family run ski resort that has been operating in Northern Utah since 1939. The ski slopes face north east so it has the morning sun on it. It is protected from the wind and is safe from avalanches. To get there go to the town of Logan and head up to the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The maximum elevation at Beaver Mountain is 2682 meters and there is a vertical drop if 488 meters.There are three double chairs and two surface lifts. Lift prices for and adult are 38 dollars for a day.

Sundance Ski Resort in Utah is the place where the famous Sundance Film Festival is held. To get there from Salt Lake City, take the I-15 highway south to the exit at Provo and follow the directions until you get to Sundance. Sundance has a maximum elevation of 2515 meters with a vertical drop of 655 meters. The longest run goes for more than four kilometers. The Sundance skiable area is 182 hectares. There are two triple chairs and one quad chair. Ski Lift prices are $35 for a midweek adult ticket and $45 for a weekend full day ticket.

Wolf Mountain Ski Resort is about fifteen miles north east of Ogden of Eden, Utah. Wolf Mountain thas the cheapest skiing and snowboarding in Utah. The highest elevation at Wolf Mountain is 1981 meters and has a vertical drop of about three hundred meters. It has forty hectares of skiable are and the longest run is about half a kilometer. There is a surface lift, two double chairs and one triple chair. Lift prices are $22 for a weekday adult ticket and $26 for a weekend or holiday adult ski lift ticket.
