Tahiti
Polynesian Islands
Gisborne New Zealand

The Pacific Ocean is chock full of romantic islands and atolls that are waiting for you with swaying palms and empty beaches. If you are lucky you might even get ship wrecked on a deserted island and no one will find you. Tahiti and French Polynesia are situated in the southern Pacific Ocean and the culture and environmental factors will lure you there to enjoy the lush forests and azure lagoons. Some of the main islands in Polynesia are Tahiti, Rangiroa, Bora Bora, Moorea, and Tubuai in the Austral group of islands. Vanuatu has resorts that are set on the edge of spectacular lagoons and are ideal for couples and families. They have spas and casinos and can be set on acres of tropical gardens close to the beautiful waters of lagoons like Erakor.

Fiji is a relatively inexpensive destination in the Pacific. Most resorts and hotels in Fiji have traditional Fijian environments with warm smiling Fijian hospital typical of most Pacific Island resorts. Find yourself an exclusive beachfront resort facing the glorious Pacific Ocean and relax or have as much fun as you can handle surfing, diving, snorkelling, or kite surfing out in the lagoons. Other activities that you can enjoy in fiji as well as most pacific islands includes golf, spas, swimming pools, and landscaped gardens.

Boat cruises in the Pacific include destinations such as Port Vila in Vanuatu, Noumea, Ouvea, the isle of Pines, Wala, and Luganville. You can take a south pacific cruise that lasts from one to two weeks that may stop at ports in New Caledonia and Vanuatu. In the southern winter you can get really cheap skiing packages to go to New Zealand at places like Mount Hutt and Queenstown. Hawaii is a popular tourist destination in the Northern Pacific Ocean and there are so many activities and sports that you can indulge in such as surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing, golf, mountain climbing. Go to Waikiki and surf where the kings and queens of ancient Hawaii used to catch waves at places like Queens. Learn to surf with the beach boys. It must be one of the easiest places to learn to surf in the whole pacific. The waves are protected and roll in safely and gently to the shore.
