Estonia is the most scandinavian of the baltic countries. In Setumaa they have the setu people who have their own customs. They speak their own language and have their own traditional clothes. The setu of Estonia wear breast plates made out of silver to give them energy for life. Traditional Setu singing is the standard question and answer format.

You can stay on farms in Estonia for about thirteen dollars per night. You get to meet the estonian people up close and personal and do some hard work. They eat blood sausages and pancakes made out of pigs blood. This is eaten only on special occasions. There is plenty of hard work on the farm such as hoeing and chopping wood. Plus the advantage is that you will get fitter and be ready for your dinner at night, and sleep well.

You can get a ferry to the offshore islands of Estonia. Saaremaa is the biggest of these islands and on Saaremaa you can visit a shaman that treats people for common problems and now more often diseases like cancer. The shaman asks earth to destroy the negative energy around us. A chopped tree must fall to the north so a wish will come to pass. Tallinn is the capital of Estonia.
