Sydney is the capital of New South Wales and is the international gateway to Australia. Sydney has a stunning harbour graced by a myriad array of boats, yachts, and tall ships. The Opera House has opera and ballet and symphony orchestras to delight the many patrons that flock there to be entertained in this famous Sydney icon. Sydney Harbour Bridge is the longest single span bridge. The harbour ferries are popular with sightseers and provide a means for sydney-siders that are scattered all along the harbor to get to work . Manly beach is a short ride by road or ferry across a sparkling blue harbor. Bondi beach is an excellent world famous beach with seawater pools. You can laze on the sand, swim in the ocean or have a coffee and meal at one of the host of restaurants and cafes along the beach. Sydney is the oldest and biggest city in Australia. It is one of the top tourist stopovers and Sydney offers shows, theater and music. The annual jazz festival is a good example of a rich cultural event.

Toe tapping block busting musicians perform in Sydney every night of the week, from the Opera House to the Beach at Bondi. The headlands and beaches are popular with photographers. Sydney is the largest city in Australia with a population of about four million people ringing the harbour. The harbour is used by all types of boating and water transport such as the hydrofoils and the famous manly ferry.

The beautiful blue waters of Sydney Harbour are ringed with sandy coves and beaches. Many spots have scrubby trees and rugged bush. The amazing sandstone cliffs of North Head, the beaches, headlands and tidal mangroves are protected in parks and reserves and remain as natural as possible. Sydney has a number of excellent surf beaches. Some of the most well known are Cronulla, Palm Beach, Narrabeen, Coogee, Dee Why, Manly and the world famous Bondi.
