In broken hill you can have a tour of a mine that was once the biggest deposit of silver and lead in the world. Th raw beauty has inspired artists and bristles with art galleries and studios. The uniqe landscapes have inspired great works of art. Silverton is easy to get to. And you can ride on a camel. Many movies have been made here and of course once again there are the camels in the main street.

The royal flying doctor service is a vital link between doctors and patients. Wilcannia was once a port on the rivers. It is now a service town for the outback area. The menindie lakes are greean and lush. you can camp and water ski and do some fun boating. the healthy wild life are in a great spot here. The old wool sheds are must to visit. The areas are steeped in aboriginal history. There are pictures and carvings to see and find but take a guide so you do not do the wrong thing. This area has raw natural beauty and is a varied and interesting place to visit. Sturt's desert pea is a beautiful wild flower.
