Thousands of people join whale watch boats to see the whales breaching and cavorting off Hervey Bay. Cairns is the game fishing capital of the world. Fishing for marlin in Cairns is world famous. The Kuranda railway goes from Cairns to Kuranda through the rainforest. North of Port Douglas you can see rainforests. The skyrail cable ride goes over the barren gorge national park which is rich in tropical rainforests. The 7.5 kilometer ride goes over the rainforest.
