Canberra and Snowy Mountains Vacations

in 1908 Canberra was chosen as the capital of Australia - the natural surroundings are special and Canberra makes the most of a lake in the center surrounded by hills. There are embassies to most countries and you can visit the war memorial. It is a cosmopolitan city surrounded by parks. Just outside of canberra is bungandore. The old steam train railway has been restored to its former glory and there are antique shops and historical sites. They have markets and galleries, and restaurants. Mount Kosciusko is a day's drive from canberra. The snowy Mountain ski slopes are nearby and you can stay at thredbo for a great ski holiday. There are runs for beginners and experts. The snowy mountains in summer is a favourite spot for bushwalkers. You can walk all the way to the top of Mount Kosciusko.
