Singapore

I caught the bus to Singapore from Melacca and arrived at Lee Travellers Club, 75 Beach Road Singapore. I went looking at Sim Lim Square for some software books. The French Canadian and the turkish belly dancer are still here after a month. How bizarre. I went and watched the fountain spray at Bugis Junction - it is quite interesting. Remember to confirm my flight booking tomorrow out from Singapore Airport. Bedbugs again! arghhh. I sprayed the bed but have just got bitten by one. Gawd i hate those mothers. I did some shopping at the Sim Lim Square in Singapore, my feet were killing me. We watched Liverpool and Blackpool at the restaurant, first on left down Liang Seah Street and had two big bottles of Singapore Tiger Beer and later had a craving for a hamburger - typical drunkard behaviour.

Singapore - day two - We went to the swimming pool with Sebastian the french canadian, linda the Swedish biologist, and Puder Schner - the norwegian motor mechanic. I must remember to email Lars the Swedish who spent lots of time in India. We went to watch the Soccer again that night. Manchester United beat Fulham 1-0. There are lots of crazy people staying at Lee Travellers Club - The bellydancer/ waiter is a crazy turk, the Japanese godfather - they stayed there for months. I do not know how you could stand it, especially living in a backpackers hostel. I nearly missed my flight from Singapore because I thought it left at night but it was 9.20 A.M.

Leaving Singapore - I woke up at 6.30 am and caught the number 36 bus to the airport(S$1.50). Checked in OK and boarded the plane. This Indian Gujerati dude who lived in Sydney sat next to me. He had been on holidays in India and had a driver and car to take him around.

You can catch the bus to Johore Bahru on the corner of Queen and Arab Street.
The Melaka and east coast of Malaysia buses leave from the corner of Lavender Street and Kallang Bahru.
To get to the airport catch the public bus from the basement or Orchard Road or Bras Basah Road, and have the correct change.
