If you go to India make sure you get to see a Durga Festival. Everyone gets very excited and throw flour all over each other and make beautiful statues of all the gods and deities. There is noise and smoke and chaos and excitement. The processions and festival get out of hand and the Indian people enjoy themselves immensely. They dump the statues of the deities into the river amid a general cacophony and mayhem. Ganesh the elephant god is a particular favourite of the indian celebators.
